Her work is inspired by her culture and dreams.

A proud Xicana (Chicana), and daughter of first-generation Mexican-Americans. Williams-Vigil uses the Texas-Mexico border as a backdrop to her stories and poems.

Her family hails from Santa Barbara, Chihuahua which is also a big part of her writing.
